The corporation has over 12 senior managers, crop scientists, engineers and other technicians for its plantation and oil extraction operations. In addition, we have two environmental managers/specialists who are dedicated to the effective and sustainable management of our operating environment.
The President and CEO of the Corporation, George Amponsem, has over 20 years of experience in management and business, including extensive work in North America (US and Canada), Europe (Belgium, Netherlands and Germany) and Africa (Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone). He also has roots from a rural farming community in Ghana, having been raised on his father’s cocoa farm and later in the mining town of Obuasi, Ghana. The CEO's previous leadership and business experience were obtained by advising corporate clients on profitable growth, operational improvement and corporate development in his capacity as a Principal Consultant with PwC Management Consulting and IBM Business Consulting Services in Canada. He also worked with AIESEC International as Director for Africa in Belgium; Chase Manhattan Bank (now JP Morgan Chase) and Mobil Oil (now Exxon Oil). George holds degrees in Economics and Management, including a doctorate in Business.
Heidi Amponsem, VP Strategy and Marketing, has extensive experience in this field having worked in the past with Booz Allen and Hamilton, an American-based strategy consulting firm, with PwC Consulting and with IBM Business Consulting Services. Over the past 20 years Heidi has managed and overseen many strategy, market and organization development projects in North America, Europe and Asia. Heidi has a doctorate in Business Management.
Edward Asare-Quansah, Chief Financial Officer, has over 14 years of finance, financial management and accounting experience. He is a chartered accountant who has worked in finance, financial advisory and auditing services for Fortune 500 companies, governmental agencies, and private and public companies while employed with PwC, Deloitte, Fuller Landau and Dynamic Mutual Funds.
Joseph Yeboah, Vice President, Health, Safety and Environment, has over 8 years experience in Agriculture, Environement and Occupational Health and Safety Management. He has extensive experience with ISO compliance and Community Based Natural Resource Management Projects. Jospeh has done various projects in setting up Envrionmental Management Systems, Agric and Natural Resource Project Evaluations and Human Development initiatives. Joseph holds a dregree in Renewable Natural Resources Management and a M.Sc. in Environmental Resources Management.
