KIMMINIC Corporation

Environmentally-Friendly Fuel Solution

About Us

KIMMINIC  is one of Africa’s largest Jatropha biofuel enterprises. The company, whose head office is located in Canada, was incorporated in 2007--the same year that plantation operations commenced in Ghana.

KIMMINIC is on a quest to create wealth for stakeholders--shareholders, employees, customers, and the business community--and provide economic and environmental sustainability to rural communities in Ghana where our plantations are based.

KIMMINIC Corporation, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries--Kimminic Estates Limited, Kimminic Oil Limited and Kimminic Logistics Limited--cultivates, extracts, produces and transports crude vegetable oil, biodiesel and organic fertilizer from a non-edible perennial plant called Jatropha curcas.

KIMMINIC plantations are designed and developed to comply with European standards and with the Global Roundtable Conference on Sustainable Biofuel. To date we have close to 10,000 hectares planted (15 million trees) on wooded savannah land. This acreage will expand to 65,000 hectares (97 million trees) over the next four years. Expected biodiesel production will grow from 30,000 tonnes in the first two years of operation to ultimately more than 150,000 tonnes annually.

KIMMINIC operates a unique model of joint plantation ownership with the local communities in the Brong Ahafo region of central Ghana.

KIMMINIC is committed to utilizing the entire value chain of our Jatropha operations; this includes generating our own "green" electrical energy to power our oil extraction and biodiesel refining plants. We make safety, the environment, and sustainable development our primary goals.
